Why am I not getting hourly data from my sensor?

Modified on Sun, 2 Nov at 4:47 PM

If sensors do not send hourly data, they are probably in stock mode. This allows the sensor to save battery by sending data once every 24 hs. If your sensor is sending data once a day and is placed in the soil, it could indicate a bad contact of its pins with the ground or soil that is too dry. To solve this issue, take out the sensor and shake it repeatedly. Then, place it in a new place and pour some water around the sensor. Making sure pins are in contact with soil and/or water will prevent sensors from going into stock mode.
